Another Little Visitor… by Gimli

First, I’m supposed to tell you that our WONDERFUL neighbor came over with his tractor on Saturday and plowed our back and front pastures, and then planted grain hay for us like he did last year!

Grammy says that this is a real BLESSING for us because last year, even with the minimal amount of rain we got, we had enough hay to feed the horses for almost 3 months!

We had 3 horses then, and one was that rescue horse that was so skinny and ate enough for 2 horses. If we get some good rains over the next few months, we should have enough food to last the horses 5-6 months, and Grammy tells us that is a GOOD thing! Sounds like more money for food, treats and toys for us, so I agree!

That machine he used sure was NOISY though!!! We barked and barked until we got in trouble, so then we just kept a close eye on what he was doing while he was in our pastures.

Later that day, another of Grammy’s grandkids came to visit with us. This one is called Blaze (Grammy has permission to put her pic and name on here) and she runs EVERYWHERE, and doesn’t tend to slow down AT ALL… EVER! She wore US out!

She LOVES horses and wanted to help Grammy with feeding them. I guess she WAS a big help to Grammy that way! After they were done feeding, we went out into the side pasture and let Blaze run. Grammy told us to stay with her and keep an eye on her, so we tried…

We ran and ran for a LONG time!

I think that we wore Grammy out just watching us! We finally went back into the yard, and Grammy sat down at one of the picnic tables… then Blaze saw our Obstacle Course… Here we go again!

Up and down, round and back up, across and down… I guess that kids like our fun place as much as WE do!!! GrandPaw did REAL GOOD!!!

We had a blast with THIS grandkid, too! See our butt’s wiggle…

Grandma OC says to tell you that she has a BIG announcement for our next blog, so be sure and check it out, OK!

Super herding action for sure. My Momma had a little corgi when she was a pup and he would get very gruff when the family was scattered about and do his big round up to get them back in one place.

Slobbers,
Mango

P.S. OC - what is this word diet? Never heard of it. Hehehe.

Hey Linda!

I think your hay field is bigger than mine. The layout of the land you have is so much different where you live and where I live in WV. It is neat to see the differences.

Your grand daughter is a cutie! She can run fast too! Your video of the pups chasing her around reminded me of when Jazz was a pup and chased my kids around like that.

Can't wait to see your new big announcement!

Hugs,
Angela

What a wonderful neighbour you have!
It is lovely to hear about someone helping out like that.
Your little biped is just adorable and you guys had great fun.
Now we dont have any little bipeds but they certainly look like great fun - they can certainly run!

That Blaze is a pretty little thing! Must not be as cold there as it is in the South? It's too cold for man or beast...part of the global warming, you know.

I have so much to say. Who is cuter - your granddaughter or dogs? Your granddaugter of course! But your dogs are adorable - loved the butt wagging.

I'd love to have the dogs to gather my 'Andy' to me when I call him too.

So tell me - you own all that land in California? WOW.

You have a great looking life.
