Gimli didn’t get to go with Grammy & Papa to Ventura… NO ONE did! Papa ended up going by himself for a one day job and GrandPaw took Grammy up to pick up Little Bear!
They had a really fun weekend, but none of us got to go with them on Saturday. They went to a Model Train Show, the new National Cemetery (for veterans), and a farm w animals instead. Trains are one of Little Bear’s FAVORITE things! Grammy will post some pics later.
Sunday, we all went in to visit at Mimi’s, and were supposed to go to a big Wildflower Park called Wind Wolf, but that got changed too, so we stayed at Mimi’s until Papa got his meeting done. GrandPaw and Grammy took the long drive to take Little Bear home, and Gimli got to go with THEM and play with his dogs AGAIN!! NO FAIR!!! He is going to tell you about THAT later too!
At least I got to spend time with Papa.
I think Papa’s lap is getting a bit TOO crowded lately!
Dad is still going to work everyday to count people. I sure miss him, and stand watch to be sure that I am the first to greet him when he comes home.
I keep telling them that I belong on a pedestal!
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my ear. It is almost healed up totally now.
Guess WHAT!!! Dad ESCAPED from that evil “Job” person that’s held him captive for the past week! I wonder if he used the foil hat if it WAS aliens like Dozer suggested, and that’s how he escaped?
Twinkietinydog, he DIDN’T bring home any bacon, by the way, but thanks for offering to come and help find him. I wouldn’t have wanted you to cut short your Paris trip, though, and he’s home now! Thank you, too, Dory and Bilbo for putting up signs in your Texas neighborhood, and all you doggy pals from Piappies World too, for your offer of help.
Jazz, Angela’s corgi, from W. V. Treasures, we thank you too, for your offer of forming a search party! Mango, I did take your advice and listened over and over, but I couldn’t find a clue. We have so many friends out there! I’m just so glad that he escaped and was able to drive home yesterday evening.
He says that he made a deal with that “Job” and they will let him come home every night if he works for them all day long during the week now. I will be sad when he is gone, but he says that they will give him money, and then he can pay for more things to help Grammy and Papa, and fix his car, and buy ME and Mercy treats and things we need.
We will have to see how this all works out, but for now, he is home and safe… and Mercy and me are SOOOoooo happy to have him back!!!
Here is a video of us that Grammy took when he got home…
Here are the horses of Corgi Country. We've had Cory since he was a little over 3 years old, and Tuffy is my son's AQHA Palomino gelding. He is trained to do both western and dressage work, though he is no longer shown.
Below them is our Border Collie, Sadie...

Country Corgi Blog:
I am Little Dott, and am now in charge of this blog. Brother BG and I, with my corgi kids, Gimli, Mercy and Pippin share about our life here in Corgi Country. This is where the Corgis tell the Stories! Go to CafePress or Zazzle and search “Country Corgis” to find gifts, etc. featuring us and our parents...
Proverbs – A Bible Study and A Country Grammy’s Walk With God blogs:
Grammy has 6 kids and 16 grandkids. She worked for 18 years with severely handicapped children, but is retired now, and writes a blog to share God’s wisdom as written by the Bible in Proverbs, as well as a blog that shares the things that God is showing her. She draws in pastels and graphite, and has her own a storefront at: http://www.cafepress.com/GrammysCorgiCountry.
She and Papa have 5 acres in a VERY rural setting. The closest town is a couple of miles away and our nearest neighbor is about a quarter of a mile away on one side with no homes on the other three sides for MANY miles. We are surrounded by BLM land which makes it really nice and quiet. We get to listen to, and watch, many kinds of wild critters.
