Sudden Change of Plans and Tidbits… by Pippin

Gimli didn’t get to go with Grammy & Papa to Ventura… NO ONE did! Papa ended up going by himself for a one day job and GrandPaw took Grammy up to pick up Little Bear!

They had a really fun weekend, but none of us got to go with them on Saturday. They went to a Model Train Show, the new National Cemetery (for veterans), and a farm w animals instead. Trains are one of Little Bear’s FAVORITE things! Grammy will post some pics later.

Sunday, we all went in to visit at Mimi’s, and were supposed to go to a big Wildflower Park called Wind Wolf, but that got changed too, so we stayed at Mimi’s until Papa got his meeting done. GrandPaw and Grammy took the long drive to take Little Bear home, and Gimli got to go with THEM and play with his dogs AGAIN!! NO FAIR!!! He is going to tell you about THAT later too!

At least I got to spend time with Papa.

I think Papa’s lap is getting a bit TOO crowded lately!

Dad is still going to work everyday to count people. I sure miss him, and stand watch to be sure that I am the first to greet him when he comes home.

I keep telling them that I belong on a pedestal!

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers for my ear. It is almost healed up totally now.

Keep working on that ear. You want to get all better, right? The change in plans seems to have worked out well for everybody.

Well it does seem that the change of plans worked out well.

Loved the dog 'on his pedestal' picture. Cute.

And I'm glad his ear is doing better.

I'm sure Little Bear had a great time at the train show! They have a small one here every year. We went one year but it really was small. Not like the ones they had when we lived in Maryland.

Does Little Bear like Thomas the Train? My Little Man loves it! We have some HO trains but haven't put them out yet. He is too young and would probably tear them up! lol

Sounds like everyone had a busy weekend! And lots of fun too!

I'm glad to hear that your ear is healing!

Hugs,
Angela

Glad your ear is on the mend. Bummer you did not go on Saturday. A herd of corgis is way more fun than trains!
How many people has your dad counted so far? There are lots of us so I hope he does not lose count when he goes home everyday! ;-)

glad that ear is healed up, OC! Now stay out of trouble! No fair when everyone can't go on outings. But the train outing sounds like fun for Little Bear! I hope you enjoy the nice warm weather we are having :)

Little ear all better, huh? Sorry you didn't get to go with Gimli. That's discrimination! But wouldn't you have missed the papa time? ;)

We are glad your ear is mending cos we are not sure where you get replacement corgi ears!
How great to see Little Bear - don't little boys just love trains.
We can see what an important job you have in welcoming your Dad home.
Only a dog can give a real welcome home from work.
We think Papa's lap is as big as his heart with lots of room.
love and kisses
