OC: Mom has been taking good care of my eye and it is doing MUCH better now. We want to thank all of you for your thoughts and prayers for me. The swelling is way down and so is the red. It still isn’t back to normal and will need the antibiotics, salve treatment and washing for a while yet, but pretty good so far. We were going to post some vids of the “Eye Care Session” here, but Blogger isn’t allowing Mom to upload them, so we’ll try THAT part again tomorrow… BG: I actually frapped with little Gracie the day before she left... She was so silly! She was inspecting Sadie’s little pool (about 4 ft. around with about 2 inches of water in the bottom) and she suddenly jumped in. Mom turned when she heard this big splash and saw a poor, bewildered looking Gracie peering over the edge.
She jumped back out and then went “cracker dog” as Mango says. (Speaking of which, Mango's not been feeling up to par and could use some prayer...) Gracie frapped (Frantically Running And Playing) all over the front yard for a good 5 minutes or more. She was one MUDDY PUPPY!!! Mom was laughing so hard she started coughing, and it was so silly that Dott, Gimli, Mercy and finally even I joined in with the frapping!
Gracie left to go to her new forever home on Sunday. I think I even miss the little tike… Our next blog will be about our trip to Ojai to take her there.
Dott: And here are the 9 week old pics and statistics for my puppies:
Gimli is getting so big! He weighs a little over 10 lbs. now. You can see how big he is beside me… Grammy calls him her "Handsome Little Man..."
Mercy is 9 lbs. now. She has got a bit of a temper and Grammy has had to get after her for not letting the other puppies eat at the same dish. She has to do a time out while the others get to eat for a minute or two…
And, little Pippin is up to almost 8 lbs. He still acts like he is Mr. Big Stuff and gives as good as he gets in the puppy tussles! In the picture below, you can see how small he still is...
I am glad you are getting better. That little pupper must have been super excited about going to the furever home. That would make anybody go cracker dog.
Thanks for all your good thoughts. I think I just twisted my ankle because I am feeling ship shape again (well except for the construction guys disturbing my meditations).
Thank you for the update. Thankfully these things often look worse than they are! Still it was scary at the time. Lovely to see the pups - we are sure Gracie will soon settle in her forever home. She will miss you guys though at first. xxx
The pup's markings are all so nice, each one distinctive. I think your little Mercy is an alpha from the sounds of it. Really sweet, all of 'em. So glad that OC's eye is better. You give good care. Is Sadie still on the outs with everyone? You are an in home nurse, and referee!
I'm so glad to hear that OC's eye is getting better! It looks a lot better than it did from your pictures you posted! How is Sadie doing? Are the others still mad at her?
Here are the horses of Corgi Country. We've had Cory since he was a little over 3 years old, and Tuffy is my son's AQHA Palomino gelding. He is trained to do both western and dressage work, though he is no longer shown.
Below them is our Border Collie, Sadie...
Coronado King
Cory, my 26 yr. old Peruvian Gelding

Tuff is an AQHA 26 yr. old Palomino
Auntie Sadie (aka Shady Sadie Lady)
Sadie is our black Border Collie. She is a big help to Grammy around the house and property...
Country Corgi Blog:
I am Little Dott, and am now in charge of this blog. Brother BG and I, with my corgi kids, Gimli, Mercy and Pippin share about our life here in Corgi Country. This is where the Corgis tell the Stories! Go to CafePress or Zazzle and search “Country Corgis” to find gifts, etc. featuring us and our parents...
Proverbs – A Bible Study and A Country Grammy’s Walk With God blogs:
Grammy has 6 kids and 16 grandkids. She worked for 18 years with severely handicapped children, but is retired now, and writes a blog to share God’s wisdom as written by the Bible in Proverbs, as well as a blog that shares the things that God is showing her. She draws in pastels and graphite, and has her own a storefront at: http://www.cafepress.com/GrammysCorgiCountry.
She and Papa have 5 acres in a VERY rural setting. The closest town is a couple of miles away and our nearest neighbor is about a quarter of a mile away on one side with no homes on the other three sides for MANY miles. We are surrounded by BLM land which makes it really nice and quiet. We get to listen to, and watch, many kinds of wild critters.
Dog Health Problems has a Blog Award Page that they have kindly decided to feature us on. Isn't that cool! You can find us featured here: Blog Awards
They have a great site that gives information on Dog Health Problems here:
