OC Update

Julie and Caleb’s Blog is having a reader’s poll concerning frivolous lawsuits involving a dog accident. As this involves us canines, I thought you might want to leave some input. Julie loves Caleb a lot and is quite passionate about proper dog owner’s responsibilities.

Well, just a short blog to let you know that my Mama OC seems to be doing pretty good. She is on antibiotics and has a salve for her eye as well as the ice packs and eyewashes with a light Chamomile tea, mixed with sea salt (as per instructions on the eyewash recipe from the Stink Bug incident) Mom added the Chamomile tea as that is in another of her herbal remedies from dog’s books because it is soothing and has several healing properties in it.

We want to thank you all for your prayers for my poor Mama. She’s acting her old self pretty much… she just looks scary with that red eye. She is still holding a grudge against poor Auntie Sadie, grumbling at her whenever she comes near.

Dott tries to stay in between them whenever that happens, but she’s been in Auntie’s face a bit, herself when she’s tried to play with the pups today.

Auntie feels badly and is laying low. She wants to hide behind or under Mom, but then THAT puts her close to where Mama OC wants to lay, which makes Mom nervous because if they are both under her rolling computer chair, she’s afraid to move in case someone gets pinched and another fight starts.

It’s at times like this that Mom wonders if adding three more corgis to the pack is going to be a good idea. MY vote is NO at this time, but I might change my mind because the cute little boogers are starting to be kind of fun to play with sometimes.

I am so glad to read that Mama OC is better today, I was worried about her. I hope she gives Sadie a break soon. I can understand what a tough choice with the puppies. I will say a prayer that you make the right choice.

We are so glad that OC is feeling better. It will take some time for tensions to settle!
We know how hard it must be to think of adding another three dogs to the pack - we know how much you love all your dogs and you will make the right decision.
Hope you have a quiet weekend.

I am glad that things are starting to return to normal. I know those little puppers are cute, but sometimes the pack is the pack and it gets too complicated to add more. Your mom will figure out what is best for everybody, no doubt.

I do feel kind of sorry for Sadie. She is trying to be good.

It's difficult when things are so tense amongst the animals. Sending warm wishes your way.

I'm so glad that MaMa OC is doing better and back to her old self! She does look a lot better in her pictures today! Still smiling which you just love to see a corgi smile! I feel sad for Sadie. She knows she is the big girl in the bunch. She probably even knows she doesn't look like the others too. You might have to watch some Dog Whisper to see what he would do. hehehe He is good you know!

Hugs,
Angela

I can imagine that everyone is walking on eggshells with their paws.
Another breakout in the scary behavior could happen with feelings still being on edge. Such a scary thing to happen. Even in dog kingdom there is unrest.
Hang in there humans!
Thanks for keeping us informed in the goings on.

That red eye came in handy for Halloween, didn't it? Mighty Scarey! Oh boy - you may be keeping all the pups after all? Brave soul! With my 4, they can be a handfull at times, but since they are all spayed, it helps in keeping hormones under control!!! Two of the girls still have a spat from time to time, but being aware of the trouble makers is half the battle won!

Hey there, Linda

Okay, now Ive made the connection!: Somehow I didn't realise that Corgi County was the commentator fo "OCMIST". (I feel sooo silly about that).
Yep, we have been following your doggie's stories (as you know)and really hope that OC's eye is improving by the day! It must have been an enormous fright that you got. Give her some special cuddles from us all in...
