Creek Road Trip

Papa said he wanted to go someplace that was quiet and “restful for the soul,” after this past week and losing his Auntie, so we took a little road trip. We went up to a place called Reyes Creek because he wanted to see what Pip and me would do around running water.

Gimli had been to a creek the last time they took Little Bear home. (OOoops… apparently, with all that’s happened, he never got to share that…) Grammy says we’ll try to do that later.

It was a nice drive up to the mountains, about an hour and a half away. Here are the pictures Grammy took before the camera ran out of batteries… These were taken near where they sat and rested…

And these were taken where the Creek runs over the road…

Grammy made two short vids so that you can hear the creek running… It was very restful, and Papa seemed to feel a little better when we left. We are glad he thought about doing this!

There was a park I used to go to in Illinois, where there was a creek over the road - fun to drive a car through, but you had to be careful you didn't drive OFF by accident, or down down down your car would go!!! BIG FUN!

wondering if you brought towels to dry off all the corgis at the end of their adventure. looks like they had a lo of fun! it does seem like a restful place to just Be Still and reflect in God,his nature, and to remember Auntie. hugs to all

I agree with your first comment BOL What is that? Looks like Space Invaders, the game. Glad to hear papa's soul got a little lighter. The creek was beautiful and sounded so soothing. Lovely photos too.

What a wonderful way to sooth a soul, a day in God's country.

Looks like the little ones really enjoyed themselves!!

Oh Linda - it looked like you had a wonderful day - getting away from it all - enjoying nature. I think that was just what the doctor ordered.

Sure that was a great place to rest and clear your mind a little.
And to have some splashing time too!

Hey there Corgi's (and Mamma and Pappa!)

That creek sure is beautiful and peaceful!

As they say...
"If you can't hear the quiet...turn off the noise!"
There is nothing like going back to nature to cleanse the soul!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you grieve. We think of you often and really appreciate all you kind comments you leave on our blog amidst the difficulties in your own life.
