That looks like a catapult which I suspect is a device not unlike the corgi toss. I think that one is big enough for me.

Mmmmm.... Looks like no one followed the link to the 100 years squirrel wars post.... Mango and Khyra are getting warm...
whhoo hooo it's a real life Cat-a-pult. These war machines were used extensively in Wales during the 1400's to confuse the enemy as Pembroke Corgis stormed battlements and castles to rescue fairy princesses and pillage for treats. Of course over time there was a shortage of felines to be had and Corgis had to use whatever was at hand. The use of Cat-a-pults went out of favor when the Corgis used pigs who regularly broke the machines. But even before that the Corgis had figured out the use of the door bell on the side of castles and being so short, could slide right in before the owners saw them.
Of course this is true! Why are you shaking your head? Sheesh!
Thanks for the suggestions on Chrome's blog. I actually was cutting up the carrots and putting them with his feed, but I got lazy and stopped doing it. Bad me. Maybe if I slice them all up at once so I only have to grab a handful instead of slicing them before each feeding time it'll be easier. Zeppelin actually did like the carrots pretty well, but Chrome is so people oriented all he cared about was what I was doing.
Chrome actually has done very well in the past on trailer loading, but before our last vet visit he didn't want to go on, probably because his jaw was hurting so bad. I decided to give it a break for a little while until I could get him hooked on the clicker because I want it to be a positive experience. I wish I had the time to feed him on it but in the mornings I'm in too much of a hurry to get ready for work and in the evenings it's usually getting dark. This summer will be soooooo much easier because it'll be light so late.
I like the idea of setting up an obstacle course in the pasture. On my next day off I'll have to look around and see what I can find. That would be so fun! Thanks again for the advice. Sounds great!
