Just a few fast words tonight from Corgi Country, as we are off to help Dozer, Cooper and Dottie. Dozer is injured, Dottie is missing and Cooper is trying to hold off the squirrel hordes on his own... Hang in there, guys! We are on our way!
Yesterday, while on an 8 hour pass, Mom and Dad took me to the park where their church was having a big picnic and softball game with another church. Imagine my surprise when I thought I caught a glimpse of Khyra! When we got closer, I saw that this new husky had been clipped because this area is so hot. I got to meet her, and found out that her name was Sasha, like our new Shih Tzu blogging pal. Mom had her sister, Mimi, take a picture since Mom forgot to take her camera. What do you all think?
Also, we stopped by Sassy Sasha and her Mom’s blog, and she had caught what she thought was a squirrel! She attacked like the true warrior she is and TOOK IT DOWN!!! She also came up with a great idea to help cheer up Dozer since he is re-cooper-ateing from an injury, and can’t fight for a while, and Tank says that we will be able to use the “Purple Dog Bone Award” to keep up the morale of our wounded fighters… For this service, we are going to award her Dott's Mighty Hunter's Award (After all, she THOUGHT it was a real squirrel...)
Mom says I’m not eligible for this award either since my wound was gotten for protecting my Mom and not from OWAS fighting…
PS… Mama OC says to let you all know that she enjoys grooming for a while, but if you look at the picture when she was “discussing” that she was done, you will see, that when she is done, she MEANS it!!! She crawls up on Mom’s shoulder, puts her head by Mom’s ear, and grumble-talks until Mom gets the idea! She especially HATES having her “britches” combed out!
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement and also for not embarrassing me on the whole "squirrel catching blunder". How was I to know, it looked all furry. You are a credit to all dogs everywhere.
Here are the horses of Corgi Country. We've had Cory since he was a little over 3 years old, and Tuffy is my son's AQHA Palomino gelding. He is trained to do both western and dressage work, though he is no longer shown.
Below them is our Border Collie, Sadie...
Coronado King

Tuff is an AQHA 26 yr. old Palomino
Auntie Sadie (aka Shady Sadie Lady)

Country Corgi Blog:
I am Little Dott, and am now in charge of this blog. Brother BG and I, with my corgi kids, Gimli, Mercy and Pippin share about our life here in Corgi Country. This is where the Corgis tell the Stories! Go to CafePress or Zazzle and search “Country Corgis” to find gifts, etc. featuring us and our parents...
Proverbs – A Bible Study and A Country Grammy’s Walk With God blogs:
Grammy has 6 kids and 16 grandkids. She worked for 18 years with severely handicapped children, but is retired now, and writes a blog to share God’s wisdom as written by the Bible in Proverbs, as well as a blog that shares the things that God is showing her. She draws in pastels and graphite, and has her own a storefront at: http://www.cafepress.com/GrammysCorgiCountry.
She and Papa have 5 acres in a VERY rural setting. The closest town is a couple of miles away and our nearest neighbor is about a quarter of a mile away on one side with no homes on the other three sides for MANY miles. We are surrounded by BLM land which makes it really nice and quiet. We get to listen to, and watch, many kinds of wild critters.
Dog Health Problems has a Blog Award Page that they have kindly decided to feature us on. Isn't that cool! You can find us featured here: Blog Awards
They have a great site that gives information on Dog Health Problems here:

Yeah, will I'm with you on that whole britches thing. Who wants pointy objects near their most private area?
Slobbers,
Mango
But fluffy britches are so much cuter, and "softer" for sitting.

licks and sniffs, Sasha
If you need any help you know who to call 'Basset Busters' - squirrels are of course our speciality - well and foxes!
