Dirty Trick Continued... By Gimli

Like I said, “THAT was a DIRTY Trick!!!”

We were all excited to be taking a trip with GrandPaw…

Then, we got to this building and read what it said on the outside…WHAT! That doesn’t say anything about a “school.”

"Gimli, I think there’s been some kind of misunderstanding…
I don’t like the looks of this!"  Pippin told me...

We were NOT happy when GrandPaw took us inside and a lady took us away from him and into the back!

I will not go into details because it was to awful to speak about, but we were sure happy to see GrandPaw the next day and get into the car to head for home!!!

I was still a bit woozy on the trip home…

though I TRIED hard to stay awake…

We will have to tell you more next time as Grammy is SLOW in getting the pictures ready...

Gimli and Pippin are MISSING! By Mercy

GrandPaw Robert took off with my brothers and didn’t bring them home. I AM BORED! The older dogs around here claim that it is to hot to play! It is NEVER to ANYTHING to PLAY! Besides… we HAVE a swimming pool!

Grammy called the vet’s office, and they told her that the boys were doing fine. She’s always been able to pick up boys that have gone to the vet on the same day, but apparently, this vet always keeps the dogs overnight, so she is BUMMED, and so is Papa! What am I? Chopped liver?

I gather that they are having the boy version of being “sprayed” like Mama Dott and I did a few months ago. If so, I feel sorry for them! I feel sorry for ME too, cause I’ll bet they won’t want to play much when they get back either!

We visited one of our friends, JP at Bark of Love, and found out that they are trying to get the word out about a calendar called, Pin-ups Love Pound Pups. 100% of the profits go to PAWSitive Changes Inc.,  which is a 501c3 non-profit organization that exists to promote the human-animal bond with shelter dogs and incarcerated youth. "These young people care for, train, and help the dogs with social skills so they can be ready to be adopted into their forever homes." The calendar picks are very tastefully done. You might want to go and check it out!

Tutoring?... By BG

Grammy told Robert tonight that the boys, Gimli and Pippin, aren’t supposed to eat anything or drink water all night, and that he is supposed to take them in the morning to the Big Town… They are all excited about their trip to get some “tutoring,” but I don’t think they are going to like “getting their attitudes changed!” I know I sure didn’t!

We had a little visit with our friend, Twix, and found out that she is doing better, but still needs prayer as she will be taking more tests soon. The infection seems to be taken care of, and some of the other tests are showing improvement, but… Please keep our little friend in your thoughts and prayers.

Grammy also saw a thing on TV about a new show called “Extreme Poodle” so she Googled it to find out more info. She got quite a laugh. We suggest you try Googling “Extreme Poodle Images…” if you want to see some really strange things… Here are a couple just to wet your curiosity…

It Was a CAR-Full Weekend! By Mercy

Not only did Kody come and visit this weekend, but he and his Uncle Robert got quite a thrill when they looked out and our front window on Friday late afternoon, and saw THIS at the end of our driveway where it goes out onto the road…

For those who aren’t up on Exotic cars, those two dark ones are Lamborghinis. They are terribly expensive and you don’t see them very often. This was only the second time in Grammy’s 57 years that she’s seen one.

The things have a V-TWELVE engine in them! THAT, apparently equals LOTS of POWER, though Grammy figures it equals LOTS of expensive FUEL! There were also some fancy Mercedes race cars and a Ferrari. Have you ever seen a young man drool like a dawg?!? Apparently they were on an “Exotic Car Rally” that ran through here. We’ve seen a lot of Antique and Classic Car Rally’s go through here as well as BUNCHES of Motorcycle Runs, but never an “Exotic Car Rally.”

Then, this morning, Papa and Robert went into town and went to another Car show. I don’t know WHY they didn’t take at least SOME of us! I know they talked about taking me and Pippin, but then decided not to for some reason!

Grrrr… and after we’d been so nice to Kody, too. Of course, he’d been pretty nice to us to with all those treats…

They saw some of those 50’s Chevy’s that Grammy likes, and a “mock-up” of the MunsterMobile and dragster from some Munster Movie, as well as a 1912 Harley Davidson Motorcycle…(looked like a bike to Grammy until she looked closely at the name on it…)

Well, to get back to us… Would you look at these pics of Mama Dott! She doesn’t allow little kids around her unless she is being safely held by GrandPaw Robert, EXCEPT for Little Bear (Kody), but she REALLY likes him… She was trying to get his attention away from the Movie, “Cars,” that he was watching…

Gimli isn’t so subtle!

Pippin’s Peek at the Past #3 Winners!

We had 4 winners in this session of our Pippin’s Peek at the Past Puzzle. Congratulations to:

1. Betty and Koda from A Corgi in Southern California
2. Rudy from Rudy – The Dog With A Blog  Rudy is the new “Guide Dog in Training” with Toby’s Trainer
3. Mayzie, from Mayzie’s Dog Blog
4. Ruby and Penny from Ruby & Penny – 2 Mini dachshunds
You can copy and take this Winner’s Badge to your blog if you’d like, and your names will be put into the drawing for the Grand Prize in just a couple more weeks!

We enjoyed hearing from my little sister and getting the chance to catch those of you up who “knew her back when” and to share her story with those of you who are fairly new to Corgi Country (Hint: I ALWAYS put in a Bright Blue link to the blog post with the answers. This picture was taken before my name got changed to Pippin…)

We want to thank Rudy for pointing out that our link wasn’t working fairly early so we could get it fixed, and think he really did a great job tracking down the answer even WITHOUT the link! You’re going to be a GREAT Guide Dog Rudy cause you are so smart already!!!

Ruby and Penny also got the correct answers, and they got them in before I had turned the comments back on, but they were 6 hours late. I decided to go ahead and give it to them this time, because I did put in a bad link, and it was bad for a little over that 6 hours… probably closer to 9 hours… Sorry about that!

Remember, you all will have two more chances to get your names in again before the Corgi Toss for the name of the Grand Prize Winner is chosen!

Meanwhile, Kody, one of Grammy’s grandsons, and also one of our FAVORITE kids, came yesterday,

and spent the night and most of today!

Yipee! He LOVES to have us do TRICKS,

and that means LOTS of TREATS for US!!!
